I am a 60 year old woman who recently started strength training. My gym only offers 10 lb plates as the lightest weight, which means I have to go up 20 lb increments on a barbell. That is too much and increases risk of injury. The Kensui 2.5 and 5 lb plates are perfect. They are easy to carry in my gym bag and now I can progress much more safely.
