"Much Better than Push-up Handles

These are a perfect solution for working with clients who have stiff and sore wrists.

Not only does it relieve some of the stress on the wrist but it still helps them build stronger hands.

Definitely a go to four push-ups and squats training."

"Burpees are great for training all attributes.

But these were hard for me to do.

ASCENT FAQs

For any other questions, our customer support team is at your service from Monday to Friday, between 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM PST.

Is the Ascent one size fits all?

Yes, the elastic strap and the shape of the ascent was specifically designed to accomodate all hand sizes.

What is the degree of the incline?

It is around 15 degrees. With the upcoming ASCENT booster you can increase in 5 degree increments.

How much weight can it hold?

The ascent is made of fiberglass and is extremely strong. You don't have to worry about this, it can hold more than you'll ever need.

Can you hands slide down the wedge?

Its always a challenge to create a surface that is both slip-resistant and comfortable. We have added texture to the surface of ascent to prevent slipping. However for those with especially sweaty palms, we recommend using chalk to get the best effect!

😁👍🏿👍🏿...works really well for those angles to alleviate wrist pressure plus adds deeper angles for decline push ups.... also great for squats gives better angles for the ankles for less pressure and more ease on the executed reps and sets .....I grabbed up the initial set plus x4 extra add ons for deeper angle settings/options....love it 😎✌🏾....once again...thank you Kensui....for overall awesome equipment

Versatile Design

Having injured both of my wrists over 10 years ago, doing push ups is a challenge due to 'extreme osteoarthritis' (I typically use parallettes or push up handles). The ascent, along with the optional boosters has opened up new possibilities - I am now able to support my wrists and gently increase the range of movement in both wrists while providing adequate support to avoid extreme discomfort. As noted by other users, the surface doesn't have much grip. To remedy this I applied self-adhesive sand paper I had on hand over the full length of each Ascent. I realize some might find the sandpaper a little too rough for bare hands however I find it works very well. In addition to doing push ups, I also like to use the Ascent as heel-raisers for squats and a variety of knee related exercises, which makes the Ascent my go-to workout travel accessory!

Great but…

Ok… this is my most honest review ever. I purchased the Kensui ascent about 30 days ago and I have to admit I love them. My core is activated just doing push-ups. No forced engaging. I mean your core midsection will start to engage and you’ll wonder why are my abs so tight. That is the amazingly great part of these. The only drawbacks for me is that the elastic bands used to keep them on your hand when is a little too loose. Also I thing that this product can be improved upon by adding a neoprene jacket in a hand molded pattern so the heal of your hands don’t fee so raw. The hard plastic is exceptionally durable but brutal on the palms. Over all I love the product but I think it needs some tweaking to get right. Maybe slice the upper portion of them and replace with a thick hard rubber for less pressure.

Body weight exercising and training focus

Like most people, we’re all looking for the gadgets to facilitate (they do help!) but ‘maybe’ there should more instruction and encouragement to focus on ‘at home’ body weight exercises (yes, gadgets are helpful) to teach ‘exercisers’ how to train better, more intelligently (if that makes sense) and yes, incorporate all the “ kensuifitness.com” tools to help - I do appreciate Kensui products - I just think more should be done with an emphasis on instructional considerations.

Just what my wrist needed.

The Ascent have worked better than expected. I'd given up on pushups, one of my favorite exercises, due to wrist pain. These have totally resolved the issue. I've also been able to get back to other exercises like burpees and wall walks. Highly recommend them. Also the build quality is excellent, at 180lbs, I easily believe they could handle some two or three times my weight. The texture is just right making it so there is no fear of slipping while at the same time not tearing up my hands. Can't recommend them enough.
