I almost didn't buy the EZ-NECK because I'd end up with an Olympic adaptor I'd never use AND have to pay extra for the standard 1" adaptor I would use. Why not sell the EZ-NECK alone and give the choice of which adaptor to buy? When I finally received my EZ-NECK, I went to remove the pad so I could screw in my 1" adaptor. Unfortunately, the Velcro that secures the pad is held on by two-way stick tape. The first time I removed the pad, the tape totally ripped away from the Velcro. Now the pad comes loose between workouts but can be pushed back on so that it stays re-stuck just long enough for a workout. Eventually, when the two-way stick tape totally loses its sticking power, I'll have to buy some replacement two-way stick Velcro. I found the 1" adaptor to be very tricky to thread into the EZ-NECK. There was a large round felt pad that seemed to get in the way, but I finally got it threaded properly. However, once the adaptor was in place, I realized that after accounting for the collar, the 1" post only had 2 5/8" of useable space. So, make sure you measure the thickness of your weights to make sure that you can fit the amount of weight you need. I have lots of 10lb (3/4" inch thick) pancake plates that I use for my adjustable dumbbells, but I could only fit three 10lb plates on the EZ-NECK 1" adaptor. I wanted more weight, so I had to buy a new heavier pancake plate to make that happen. One other negative note. I wouldn't buy this thinking you can easily change between the Olympic and 1" adaptors. While the Olympic adaptor installs easily, the 1" adaptor does not. Between that and the pad's Velcro problem, this thing is not made to take apart often. On the bright side, the EZ-NECK performs very well during your workout. The pad makes it VERY comfortable to use. The handles work great for Neck Side Curls, although I don't use the handles for Neck Curls because it's just more natural to grab the weight itself. Neck Extensions was the only exercise I didn't enjoy with the EZ-NECK. I found that getting into position for Neck Extensions with the EZ-NECK was a bit awkward, so I continue to use my old neck harness for Neck Extensions.
