I am using it with cap standard plates and it comfortably allows for 3 plates or 60 lbs. it may be possible to add a smaller 1.25 or 2.5 lbs plate also. Not as quick to change as I hoped. Grip feels good, thicker than twist lock dumbbells so getting used to it.
It’s really wonderful product of my gym now as I can increase or decrease the weights easily for my workouts. Liked it and advise to try it . You will fell in love with it as it’s a great.
When I got the vest, I got the long sleeve for oly plates, and the long one for standard size (1" hole) plates. Both stick out, look awkward and are impractical when wearing something over the vest in cold weather. These ones are flush, look better and fit better under clothing. They allow me to carry two standard size plates per side on them. That is more than enough weight-wise for me. I guess I could go up to two 25 lbs plates on each side if I wanted to.
The handles are decent.
Pros: They fit snug on the pull-up bar that I’m using and that gives them a solid feel. The extra rubber half ring helps keep them snug.
Cons:
-The knurling isn’t adequate, I decided to go with silicone grip tape, which helps tremendously.
- The space between handle and the top hook is very small. I scrape my knuckles every time I grip them. This makes using addition wrist/grip support not an option, which is a disadvantage when I want to use the weight vest. I took a photo and have included it.
- the length of the handle itself is almost too short, another inch would be a huge help.
So, overall, it’s just decent. I’ll continue using them but I came close to buying a different set.
I recently purchased the adapta-bells with the extension screws to add more weight. The ends of the screws (which were extra) are extremely sharp and have to knurling like the screws that come with the handles when purchased, casing my hands to bleed from my fingertips being lacerated and not being able to unscrew one pair of the dumbells, resulting in me having to place the dumbell in a vice and turn the whole dumbell. Please, if you're going to sell additional pegs/screws to hold more weight, why wouldn't you just make them a longer version of the ones that come with the handles?
I must admit I've come around on the Kensui Adjustabell Max. A few months ago I was rather scathing following the 2-month wait for the product and lack of customer service, but since then I've decided the key is to keep the plates as few as possible, 3 per side at most, and be liberal with lubricants (that's what the kids call a straight line). I've ordered 20-lb standard plates and have fingers crossed that the bolts will fit. Extended bolts are a non-starter as it's hard enough to negotiate 3 plates at a time, let alone more. Besides that, I'd NEVER order anything from Kensui again.

These dumbbell handles have exceeded my expectation. I bought these to see if I’d like them before I bought the more expensive adjustable dumbbells. I already had enough weight plates, so I just needed the handles. For the regular size I was able to make 70# each (25’s and 10’s). I bought the extenders to add height. Not only could I add weight but they are metal and appear more durable. I was able to make #80’s each with room to add. They never came loose and seem sturdy.
I bought these to only do chest exercises. I have had no issues with range of motion while doing flat or incline. I tried tricep over head extension and the weight plates were too big and awkward. Needless to say I’m very satisfied and won’t be buying adjustable dumbbells.

I have been using my Max handles and they are awesome! Being a home gym user, I have a healthy mix of both standard and olympic plates. The ability to switch back and forth, and even combine them on the same handle makes for a very versatile system. I also recently traveled and can confirm I was able to safely take these through the airport on my carry on and to the hotel I was staying at. The hotel gym had a few random dumbbells up to about 25lbs, and then just a cheap all in one machine with a dusty barbell leaning against the wall in the corner and some random. I was able to load up to about 75lbs on one handle since that that's all the hotel had, but still stay inside a reasonable hypertrophy range and do some rows, single leg exercies and more. With a bit of imagination, I don't think these handles will ever be the limiting factor to your workouts!
Normal pull-ups hurt my elbows (and even the normal Swissies). Something about the V2 Max shape works for me- I can finally do pull-ups again! I girth hitched some cord around my bar and hooked the grips through the loops so they can rotate freely.

So I'm very late in posting this review but for over a month I have been regularly using the vest following a 5x5 strength program utilising the basic calisthenics movements on top of a weighted walking / running routine. So... To summarise: My core strength is through the roof; my posture and stability have both improved tenfold; my fitness has improved dramatically and in just over 5 weeks I'm actually leaner whilst gaining strength!!! I cannot recommend this product more highly!!! There is no other out there than can accommodate comfort and progressive overload the way the EZ vest does. The clickfast mechanism makes adjusting the vest so much simpler than the previous velcro system - not to mention it's much more comfortable. Given I now have two EZ vests my wife and I have both been reaping the benefits of moving under added resistance which is fundamental for both our jobs in the emergency services! I could honestly rave about this product all day! Absolutely fantastic. On top of that the customer service and delivery times have been outstanding. My thanks to you Kensuii Fitness!! My passion for strength and fitness has never been better!!
Product is exactly as advertised. Why buy multiple fixed when you can simply adjust EZ-MACE. Also had great customer service on my order.
Thes are the best dumbbells I have tried for home gym there on the thicker side from regular dumbbells but they do have a premium feel from competitors
The upgrade compared to the 1st is an upgrade on an already great quality and very durable piece of equipment the bottom half has been cotted with from what it looks and feels like rubber for added protection and adds to the longevity of the mace ......I truly am very happy with it... no complaints...... another home run and a great new addition to my ever growing home gym ..... The EZ-mace and the EZ-clubs are a fantastic combo for a great overall workout ....thanks always Kensui.....🔥💯🏆💯🔥
I have yet to receive my order. It is approaching three months. How much longer will I have to wait. My plan was to get in shape this summer, now I'll have to wait till next summer. At first I was a little hesitant on getting this bar but after seeing the different exercises that can be done with it ..like the neutral grip dead lift💥 shrugs💥bar hammer curl💥 farmers walk💥 neutral grip shoulder press💥bent over back row💥nice and deep stretch on the basic bench chest press💥front squats💥 and much more .....I knew with all those possibilities I had to have this unique design of a barbell 👍🏾👍🏾.....the grip points and knurling on the bar are perfect....a beautiful chrome finish..the 45lb bar is well balanced....the overall quality is very good as to be expected from Kensui ....as per my personal experience 💯💥👍🏾👍🏾.I am totally super happy to have this bar as my new addition to my ever growing home gym ....I now can say all three bars that Kensui has available on there site I own .....the Tokyo trap bar💥 Kyoto curl bar💥Osaka Olympic bar💥and they are all very awesome and super great quality......
