It's a very unique metal that is extremely heavy, strong, with a high melting point but is not raidoactive or dangerous. In fact it has radiation shileding properties and is used in the medical field. It is also used in applications such as filaments, wedding rings, counter weights, and F1 cars.
Why is it so expensive?
Tungsten is considered a rare metal due to it being very hard to find. Furthermore because of its hardness and density it is very hard to machine and polish.
Why does it take 5-6 weeks to deliver?
Because they are very valuable items, we don't store all the plates in our warehouse to prevent theft. They are made-to-order and it takes 3-4 weeks of intense work to manufacture due to the properties of Tungsten.
