I can only comment of the quality of the items of the MAX BUNDLE that I received so far, which are the AdaptaBELL Max and the centering adapters, which seem to be good quality. I have yet to receive the Extensions (see below). Like other reviewers, I find the Max handle diameter to be somewhat large, but I do like the sturdy feel of the metal. I have been able to fit three 10 lb CAP Olympic weight plates on either side (60 lb total) using the centering adapters, and everything seems solid once its screwed in. I am fairly confident that with the extensions I will be able to fit another two 10 lb plates on either end to make a set of 100 lb dumbbells without having to resort to buying the thinner but more expensive calibrated weight plates. Pros: the potential to create a heavier and sturdier feeling dumbbell than most adjustables out there. Wallet friendly. Cons: it is slower to adjust than others (e.g. Nuobells). Larger diameter handles, which may be off putting for those with smaller hands. LONG WAIT TIMES FOR DELIVERY AND POOR COMMUNICATION ABOUT DELAYS. A big reason I'm only giving this a three star rating is that I received no communication acknowledging that I hadn't received the AdaptaBELL Extensions other than a paper invoice with my initial delivery stating that it was incomplete. I had to contact Kensui to confirm that I was still scheduled to have this delivered, at which time they told me the Extensions were redesigned and being shipped from another warehouse once they arrived to the US. If I hadn't reached out myself, I'm doubtful I would have gotten word about the reason for the delay. It has been more than two weeks since I received my initial incomplete shipment and there is still no update on when I will receive the remaining items (this is after the 3 week wait for the initial delivery, which to their credit, they did acknowledge on the website). I understand that there will be production delays on occasion, but the least Kensui can do is to keep consumers better informed about delays and projected delivery dates. Looking forward to getting the extensions one day and finally creating heavy dumbbells, which is why I purchased the bundle in the first place. Maybe I'll write an updated review at that time.

I’ve read all these glowing comment, but lemme give you the real run down on my experience. I ordered on march 9th.. I didn’t receive the package until the 29th and the main issue is I didn’t receive my extensions which I needed simply because I can press 80+ lbs for reps. And throwing 20lb weights on these things isn’t practice because of the size so I have to use 10s. So I received my order was happy for the most part because I was told the extensions would come in a separate package as of today April 13th I still haven’t received them. After 2 uses I had one of them dumbells roll off my bench which is only about maybe a foot off the ground and the dumbell screw snapped in half with only about 70lbs loaded on it… for 200+ $ I thought these would hold up for atleast a few years. But no the screws are not solid they’re filled with some kind of aluminum cast or something if I can upload a picture I will, but as of right now I’m writing these via their email. I cannot recommend this product save your money and invest in a cheaper pair of Olympic dumbells on Amazon or buy some solid 70s. These might be alright for lower weight but for heavier weight I cannot recommend them and as for the company and receiving it sucked I honestly wouldn’t recommend buying anything from them.

I am using it with cap standard plates and it comfortably allows for 3 plates or 60 lbs. it may be possible to add a smaller 1.25 or 2.5 lbs plate also. Not as quick to change as I hoped. Grip feels good, thicker than twist lock dumbbells so getting used to it.

I must admit I've come around on the Kensui Adjustabell Max. A few months ago I was rather scathing following the 2-month wait for the product and lack of customer service, but since then I've decided the key is to keep the plates as few as possible, 3 per side at most, and be liberal with lubricants (that's what the kids call a straight line). I've ordered 20-lb standard plates and have fingers crossed that the bolts will fit. Extended bolts are a non-starter as it's hard enough to negotiate 3 plates at a time, let alone more. Besides that, I'd NEVER order anything from Kensui again.
